Liability
Covers bodily injury and property damage that you may cause to other people involved in an accident. It may also extend to Guest Passenger liability to cover passengers who may be injured while on your motorcycle, ATV or scooter.

Collision
Covers damage to your motorcycle, ATV or scooter if involved in an accident, usually up to the book value of the vehicle prior to the loss.

Comprehensive
Reimburses you for theft or damage not related to an accident with another vehicle. Common comprehensive claims include fire, falling objects, missiles, explosion, vandalism and contact with animals (such as birds or deer).

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist
Pays for medical treatment, lost wages and other damages if a driver with no insurance or an insufficiently covered driver hits you.

Being coverage conscious doesn't mean you have to forego being cost conscious. While factors such as being a rider-training course graduate, your age, driving record, where you live and the type of motorcycle you own largely determine your premiums, there may be discounts and reductions available to you:

Some insurance companies reward graduates of approved training courses with insurance discounts ranging from 10-15%

In many northern states a "lay up" policy is available that suspends all coverage except comprehensive during the winter months

Multi-bike, organization membership and mature rider discounts ranging from 10-20% may also apply to your situation.
