Auto Insurance

Coverage that will keep you rolling along.

Insuring your car against damage, theft and loss is only part of the value of an automobile insurance policy. Protecting yourself and your passengers in the event of an accident will also help you steer clear of any unfortunate, and costly, consequences.

Coverage Types

There's no telling what may happen on the roadways-often through no fault of your own. Protecting yourself from "the other guy" is only part of the value of an automobile insurance policy. There are six coverages that fall under a standard policy:

Bodily Injury Liability:
Covers injuries that you, a designated driver or policyholder cause to someone else while either driving your car or someone else’s (with permission).

Medical Payments/Personal Injury Protection (PIP):
Covers expenses associated with the treatment of injuries to the driver and passengers of your car, and may even extend to medical payments, lost wages and funeral expenses.

Property Damage Liability:
Pays for damage caused to someone else’s property (i.e., car, lamp post, fences and the like) by you or a designated driver while behind the wheel of your car.

Collision:
Coverage in the event of your colliding with another car, an object, as a result of flipping your vehicle over or pothole damage.

Comprehensive:
Reimburses you for theft or damage not related to an accident with another vehicle. Common comprehensive claims include fire, falling objects, missiles, explosion, vandalism and contact with animals (such as birds or deer).

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist:
Protects you from incurring expenses related to an accident wherein the at-fault driver is insufficiently covered, is uninsured or you are a victim of a hit-and-run.

Having automobile insurance that’s accurate, adequate and keeps you on the road shouldn’t be determined by a “faceless” Web-based company that can provide quotes but no answers. Contact Maritime Insurance today for your needs.
